Replace your toothbrush.

The toothbrush you use and the way you brush can worsen the sensitivity of your teeth. It is therefore important to check your brushing habits. Using a toothbrush with hard bristles can causing receding gums which will expose your sensitive teeth, hence increasing your teeth’s sensitivity. Aggressive brushing of the teeth can also have the same effect on your gums and also wear away your enamel causing more exposure of the sensitive teeth.

Avoid acidic and sugary foods and drinks

Some acidic foods and drinks such as citrus fruits can lead to the dissolving of your enamel, resulting in tooth sensitivity. When you eat sugary foods, the sugar that remains in your mouth reacts with plaque resulting in, more acids. You should, therefore, watch your diet and eat nutritious foods for your oral health. A glass of milk after eating such foods can help in neutralizing the acid.
